Bilaspur’s Daughter Sapna Chandel Becomes Indian Forest Service Officer, Welcomed with Traditional Celebration

Sapna Chandel, a proud daughter of Bilaspur district, has cleared the prestigious Indian Forest Service (IFS) examination, bringing honor to her family and hometown. The moment news of her success reached Talwar village, the entire community erupted in joy. Upon her return, Sapna was greeted with the beating of traditional drums and garlands of flowers in a grand welcome ceremony.
Daughter of ex-serviceman Ravindra Chandel and a homemaker mother, Sapna has been academically inclined since childhood. She completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University of Delhi. Alongside her studies, she began preparing for civil services. Initially, she took some coaching, but eventually relied on self-study, discipline, and unwavering confidence to stay on course.
Speaking about her journey, Sapna shared that this was her fourth attempt, and this time, she finally turned her dream into reality. Her optional subjects in the IFS mains exam were Forestry and Zoology. She emphasized that maintaining mental balance and discipline played a crucial role in her preparation and eventual success.
The residents of her village expressed immense pride in her achievement, calling it a moment of collective celebration for the entire region. Locals said Sapna has not only made her parents proud but also brought glory to the entire Bilaspur district. She has emerged as an inspiration for young aspirants.
In a message to the youth, Sapna advised not to be disheartened by failure. “With consistent effort and self-belief, any goal is achievable. Honest hard work always pays off,” she said. Her success has brought immense joy not only to her family but to the entire community of Talwar village and the greater Bilaspur area.
