31-Year-Old Electricity Board Employee from Bilaspur Drowns in Swimming Pool in Una

Una, May 12:
A tragic incident occurred in the Kuthera Khairla village of Amb subdivision, Una district, where a 31-year-old man drowned while swimming. The deceased has been identified as Ajay Kumar, son of Sohan Lal, a resident of Ghumarwin in Bilaspur district. Ajay was employed with the Electricity Board in Amb.
The Amb police have taken possession of the body and sent it to the Regional Hospital in Una for post-mortem. His family has been notified.
According to initial reports, Ajay Kumar had gone to a private swimming pool owned by Rashid Mohammad in Kuthera Khairla on his day off. While swimming, he reportedly drowned. Locals rushed him to the Amb hospital, but doctors declared him brought dead.
Confirming the incident, Amb DSP Vasudha Sood stated that the body has been sent for autopsy and an investigation is underway. Police are speaking with locals to determine the exact cause of the accident.
