HP Cabinet: CM Directs Education Department to Expedite Principal Promotions

Shimla, May 6: Chairing a high-level meeting of the Education Department on Tuesday, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu directed officials to expedite the promotion process for principal posts in government senior secondary schools. He emphasized that employee welfare remains a top priority for the state government.

The Chief Minister noted that government employees play a vital role in the state’s development, and it is essential to ensure they receive timely benefits. He added that the state government is implementing several progressive reforms in the education sector to enhance the quality of learning for students.

Highlighting the pivotal role of teachers in realizing the government’s vision for quality education, CM Sukhu said the state has launched numerous innovative initiatives since taking office to strengthen the education system and promote student development. As a result, Himachal’s education model is now earning national recognition.
