Shimla, April 25: In the wake of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, protests and expressions of grief have echoed across the country. Joining in solidarity, employees of the Himachal Pradesh State Secretariat held a condolence meeting to denounce the attack and honor the victims.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi, Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena, along with several legislators and Secretariat staff, were present at the solemn gathering.
A two-minute silence was observed to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the attack, and heartfelt condolences were extended to the bereaved families.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Sukhu said the incident has shaken the conscience of the nation. “This attack is not just a threat to national security, but a deep wound to the emotions of every Indian. It is a moment for all of us to reflect on the sacrifices of the 26 lives lost and to strengthen our sense of unity and patriotism,” he said.
