Rural Development Minister Launches ‘e-Parivar’ Mobile App and Online Approval Management System
Shimla, April 24 – In a bid to strengthen grassroots governance and enhance transparency in service delivery, Himachal Pradesh Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh today launched the e-Parivar mobile application and an Online Approval Management System for Panchayat Bhawans. These digital initiatives have been developed under the directives of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.
Speaking at the launch, the minister said that the e-Parivar app will assist in real-time household-level data collection, especially during field visits by panchayat secretaries. The app also simplifies data entry and integrates Aadhaar-based authentication using mobile OTP and facial recognition. Additional features include mapping of ration card members and maintaining livestock records for both registered and unregistered families.
Anirudh Singh instructed all districts to complete household surveys within 30 days. ADCs, ADMs, and PO ITDPs will act as district nodal officers to ensure effective implementation of the initiative.
Additionally, the Panchayati Raj Department has introduced an Online Approval Management System to streamline monitoring of construction, repair, and upgrade approvals for Panchayat Bhawans. The system will allow real-time tracking from approval to execution. Implementing agencies will be required to upload progress updates, photographs, and utilization certificates.
Gram Panchayats will also be able to update the status of their existing infrastructure through the portal.
The minister emphasized that these initiatives mark a significant step toward promoting transparency, accountability, and digital inclusion in rural governance.
