Himachal: Major Administrative Reshuffle – 24 HAS Officers Transferred, Over a Dozen SDMs Reassigned

Shimla, April 22:
In a significant administrative move, the Himachal Pradesh government has ordered the transfer and posting of 24 Himachal Administrative Service (HAS) officers. The official notification was issued on Tuesday evening. A majority of those affected are Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs).

Rahul Chauhan, previously posted as ADM (Development)-cum-Project Director (DRDA) in Hamirpur, has been appointed as Additional Registrar, Cooperative Societies, in Dharamshala (Kangra), replacing Ram Prasad, who has been relieved of additional charge. Shilpi Vekta, SDM Dehra, has also been transferred to Dharamshala in the same capacity. Ram Prasad has been relieved of this additional charge as well.

Siddharth Acharya has been shifted from SDM Kandaghat to Assistant Commissioner in the office of Deputy Commissioner, Shimla. Surender Mohan, formerly SDM Kumarsain, has been appointed as Additional Director, Rural Development, Shimla. Naresh Kumar Verma has been transferred from SDM Ani to Additional Director, Technical Education, Sunder Nagar, Mandi, replacing Sanjay Kumar, who has been relieved.

Dharmesh Kumar, SDM Dodra Kwar (Shimla), has been appointed SDM Rohru and will also hold additional charge of Dodra Kwar. Kulbir Singh Rana will now exclusively serve as ADM-cum-Project Officer, ITDP Bharmour, relinquishing his SDM duties there. Arun Kumar has been moved from Assistant Settlement Officer, Dharamshala, to SDM Jawali, Kangra, replacing Bachittar Singh.

Kavita Thakur, previously SDM Rural Shimla, has been posted as RTO Solan. Surender Kumar has been relieved of this additional responsibility. Dr. (Retd. Major) Shashank Gupta has been transferred from SDM Kalpa (Reckong Peo) to SDM Kumarsain, Shimla. Bhanu Gupta, formerly SDM Shimla (Urban), is now Joint Director, Language, Art, and Culture Department, Shimla.

Rajneesh Sharma has been transferred from SDM Keylong to District Tourism Development Officer, Mandi, with Aseem Sood relieved of additional charge. Manjeet Sharma, earlier Joint Director, Language, Art, and Culture Department, has been appointed SDM Rural Shimla. Manoj Kumar-III has been moved from SDM Udaipur (Lahaul-Spiti) to SDM Dehra, Kangra.

Amit Kalthaik, Assistant Secretary in the Energy Department, has been transferred as SDM Ani, Kullu. Arshiya Sharma, Assistant Secretary in the Finance Department, will now serve as ADM Jhanduta, Bilaspur. Akanksha Sharma, previously Assistant Secretary in the Health Department, has been appointed SDM and DRDA, Keylong, Lahaul-Spiti.

Mohit Ratan, earlier Assistant Secretary in the Revenue Department, has been transferred as SDM Dharamshala, Kangra. Kulwant Singh Potan, Assistant Secretary in the Education Department, has been appointed SDM Sujanpur, Hamirpur, relieving Sanjeet Singh.

Rajesh Verma has been moved from SDM Kafota (Sirmaur) to SDM Sunni, Shimla. Gopal Chand, Assistant Commissioner in the office of Deputy Commissioner, Shimla, has been appointed SDM Kandaghat, Solan. Sanjeev Kumar-III has been transferred from SDM Dharamshala to SDM Bharmour, Chamba. Naveen Kumar, SDM Salooni, Chamba, will now serve as RTO Mandi.
