Sardar Patel University to Commence Annual Graduation Examinations from April 4

Mandi, April 2: The much-anticipated annual graduation examinations at Sardar Patel University are set to begin on April 4, with the examination period extending until May 17. The university administration has completed all necessary preparations, including the release of the detailed examination schedule, ensuring a smooth process for over 32,000 students.

Comprehensive Examination Setup

According to Vice Chancellor Prof. Lalit Kumar Awasthi, the university has made extensive arrangements to accommodate the large number of candidates. A total of 72 examination centers have been established across the region to facilitate easy access for students. The distribution of centers is as follows:

• 34 centers in Kangra district (the highest among all districts)

• 20 centers in Mandi district

• 12 centers in Chamba district

• 5 centers in Kullu district

• 1 center in Lahaul-Spiti district

This strategic setup aims to minimize travel challenges for students while maintaining security and efficiency during the examinations.

Streamlined Result Declaration

In a significant move to enhance student convenience, the university has decided to declare the results of final-year students before the commencement of the admission process for the new academic session 2025-26. This decision comes as a response to the common concern among students who often face delays in receiving their final-year results, affecting their plans for further studies or employment.

Prof. Awasthi emphasized, “Our goal is to ensure that final-year students receive their results promptly, allowing them to proceed with higher education or job opportunities without unnecessary delays.”

Admissions Process Aligned with Exam Results

The entrance examination for admission to the new academic session will be conducted only after the final-year results are announced. This approach is expected to provide clarity for incoming students regarding their admission status and reduce uncertainty during the transition to the new academic year.

Additionally, the university will oversee the entire entrance examination process for the new session, ensuring transparency and consistency in the admission procedure.

• Carry valid identification proof and their examination admit cards.
