Dharamshala: ‘Samadhan Shivir’ in Every Ward of Dharamshala to Resolve Public Issues

Dharamshala, March 13 – The Dharamshala Municipal Corporation has been running a citywide campaign under the Clean City Prosperous City program and the Citizen Service Portal with the aim of connecting citizens with local issues directly, and as part of this effort, the corporation will be launching ‘Samadhan Shivir’. A one-of-a-kind initiative, to be held between March 13 and March 28, will approach public grievances at the grassroots level, focusing on better governance and a cleaner, greener Dharamshala.
Municipal Corporation staff and ward councilors will visit all the wards in Dharamshala as part of the Samadhan Shivir, said Surender Katoch, Joint Commissioner, Dharamshala Municipal Corporation. The primary objective is to expeditiously resolve the issues faced by the residents and motivate them to make a contribution in making the city better.
“This program is an attempt to reach out to the public in a much closer sense, respond to their apprehensions in a closest manner, put the aspect of transparency in administration,” We want to ensure that the city is clean, prosperous and well managed,” said Katoch.
The Samadhan Shivirs will be held in appointed wards and the concerned ward councilors will be informed one day before the scheduled meeting. This will ensure residents are well-informed, and able to bring their issues to the attention of local officials. This Program aims to connect the administration with the citizen and make the governance more effective and attuned to the needs of the citizens.
The Samadhan Shivir program will see camps set up on the following dates and locations:
- March 13: Ward 1 – Forsythganj
- March 15: Ward 2 – Bhagsunag
- March 17: Ward 3 – McLeodganj
- March 18: Ward 4 – Kashmir House
- March 19: Ward 5 – Khazanchi Mohalla
- March 20: Ward 6 – Kotwali Bazar
- March 21: Ward 7 – Secretariat
- March 22: Ward 8 – Sports Complex and Ward 9 – Sakoh
- March 24: Ward 10 – Shyam Nagar and Ward 11 – Ram Nagar
- March 25: Ward 12 – Barol and Ward 13 – Dadi
- March 26: Ward 14 – Kand
- March 27: Ward 15 – Khanyara
- March 28: Ward 16 – Sidhpur and Ward 17 – Sidhbari
Katoch urged all the citizens to join the Samadhan Shivir in large numbers, as their involvement will certainly pave the way to make Dharamshala a model city to replicate for others. He added that residents can contact the Dharamshala Municipal Corporation for further information about the program.
This initiative would promote greater engagement among community members, streamline governance at local levels, and accelerate responses to public needs, paving the way for a cleaner and higher quality future for Dharamshala.
