Shimla, March 12: Vimal Negi, Chief Engineer, Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board (HPSEB) and General Manager, Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (HPPCL), has been missing since 12:30 PM on March 10, 2025. Authorities and his family have begun a search operation to find him.

Reports suggested that Engineer Negi had booked a cab from Shimla to Ghumarwin. The taxi dropped him off at Ghumarwin from where Negi was seen walking towards the Bharari-Jahu road. But he hasn’t been seen since then. He disabled his cellphone, making it harder for authorities to trace his movements.

Negi’s family and police are searching for him in the area. The family is deeply concerned and asking anyone who knows where he is to contact them. Please call: 9643800351 for info or updates — ie if you know where they are, please tell us.

Local authorities have stepped up, and the community is being called on to remain vigilant. Anyone with information about Negi or his whereabouts is urged to contact the police. The family and the administration are positive that with the public’s help, Engineer Vimal Negi will once again return home to his family.
