Hola Mohalla Marks Start of Guru’s Four-Day Unbroken Langar in Pandoh with Dedicated Service
Happy Singh, Sevadaar
Mandi, March 11- A unique tradition started in Pandoh on Tuesday evening when the four-day uninterrupted langar (free community kitchen) was started at the Gurudwara on the Chandigarh- Manali National Highway. This langar, a symbol of sustaining serve and dedication, is being arranged every year concerning the Hola Mohalla celebrations.
Langar is a humble and joint effort by Baba Kashmir Singh Ji Bhuri Wale, Baba Sukhwinder Singh Ji Amritsar Wale, Sevak Jatha Amritsar and Singh Sabha Guru Committee Pandoh. This is to arrange free meals for devotees who are on their way to Manikaran Sahib for Hola Mohalla so that they can have three meals a day.
This langar is a gesture of generosity as many devotees from Punjab come down to Manikaran Sahib during Hola Mohalla to experience the colorful celebrations. Everybody, including pilgrims and travelers, is given prasad.
Happy Singh, a sevadar (volunteer) at the langar for the occasion, and who hails from Amritsar, stated that the free langar will be offered to people until the evening of March 14, thereby providing the service for all four days of the festival. The langar is free of cost for everyone, whether they have come here to celebrate or are merely passing by the area, he said. He further thanked the local community for its support towards the success of the langar.
The uninterrupted langar stands as a testament to the values of selfless service and community spirit, a living embodiment of the teachings of the Guru. During this holy time, devotees are advised to take the Lord’s prasad humbly and gratefully.
