According to Karan Nanda, the change in tax slab in the budget will directly benefit about 6 crore people across the country and about 6 lakh people in Himachal. Apart from this, retired employees have also been given great relief, which will improve their financial condition.

The budget talks about giving incentives to the youth under startup schemes. Special provisions have also been made for women and farmers. Decisions to promote the insurance sector and toy industry are also the main attractions of the budget.

Responding to Congress’ criticism on the budget, Karan Nanda said that the state government should take advantage of the central schemes instead of stopping them. He said that projects like Bulk Drug Park and Vibrant Village Scheme have not been implemented properly.
Himachal will continue to get benefits from schemes like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, provided the state government adopts positive politics and cooperates with the Center.
