(Shimla) Himachal Pradesh, Kumud Sharma, January 22: State level Republic Day program will be organized at the historic Ridge Ground in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. During this, 25 contingents including Punjab Police will take part in the parade.
Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu will participate as chief guests in the Republic Day celebrations.
On January 26, various programs are to be organized across the state regarding this. These days, rehearsals for the parade are being done at the Ridge Ground.
Superintendent of Police Shimla, Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi said that the glorious day of Republic Day will be celebrated with great pomp.
He said that 25 contingents including Punjab Police are participating in the parade to be held at the Ridge Ground this time. Various contingents like State Police, Armed Police, Traffic Police, District Police, Home Guard and NCC will take part in this parade.
Apart from this, tableaus of about 25 departments will be the main attraction of the Republic Day celebrations. These tableaus will show a glimpse of the culture and progress of Himachal Pradesh, which includes tableaus of District Disaster Management Authority, Himurja.
Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi (Superintendent of Police, Shimla) told Diary Times, “It is proposed to be organized in our historic Ridge ground in Shimla and we are currently rehearsing for the parade and 25 contingents will participate in it, which includes Army, Paramilitary Force, State Police, SDRF, Home Guard and every program of 26 January is a very proud moment for us, we are preparing for all of them here in front of you and these preparations are going on so that the enthusiasm in the program and the performance in it is of high level.”
