Kinnaur, Sourabh Jaiswal: On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, Sazo festival is being celebrated with religious faith and gaiety in Kinnaur district.

Mohtamim of Nag Devta, Sohan Singh Negi said that during this time the people of the village pray to the deities for happiness and prosperity and the deities are happily bid farewell with traditional musical instruments.

Local people said that today, according to tradition, Athang was given to Giri Rajas Nag Devta and Kalyan Devi of Barang village before they left for Indralok and wishes for happiness and prosperity were made.
