Second Incident in Himachal: Roadside Vendor Finds Little Girl in Distress
Solan, (Himachal Pradesh) [India], January 12 (Diary Times): Less than a week after a newborn girl was found in distress in Bilaspur district, another case has surfaced in Solan.
A street vendor discovered a newborn girl by the roadside at Kala Mor, and immediately alerted the local police. The girl was taken to the regional hospital for protection from the cold and medical care, where her condition is improving.
The street vendor’s honesty and quick action led to the rescue of the girl, and the police have begun a search for the people who abandoned her.
Solan’s Superintendent of Police, Gaurav Singh, confirmed that this is the first case of a newborn girl being found in the district and called for public cooperation to find those responsible.

This incident, the second in the state after the one in Bilaspur, has raised concerns about the disregard for the safety of girls in society.
Police have yet to trace the parents of the newborn found in Bilaspur, and with the second case now in Solan, there is growing concern about the increase in such cases.
