Sukhu Government Appoints 6 Former CPS as Chairmen of Assembly Committees in Himachal Pradesh
Shimla, (Himachal Pradesh) [India], January 12 (Diary Times): 6 former CPS who lost the post of CPS in the Sukhu government of the ruling Congress party of Himachal Pradesh have now been given new responsibility by the state government. Let us tell you that the Sukhu government has given new responsibility to all these 6 former CPS as the chairman of the assembly committees.
Former CPS and current MLAs Sanjay Awasthy, Sunder Singh Thakur, Mohan Lal Brakta, Kishori Lal, Ram Kumar Chaudhary, Ashish Butail have been appointed as the Chairman of different Assembly Committees.
Along with them, other MLAs have been appointed as members in the Assembly Committees. First of all, talking about former CPS and MLA Sanjay Awasthy, he has been made the Chairman of the General Development Committee. In this committee, MLAs Anil Sharma, Sudhir Sharma, Rakesh Kalia, Randhir Sharma, Jeet Ram Katwal, Sudarshan Singh Bablu, Hardeep Singh Bawa have been included as members.
Similarly, former CPS and MLA Sunder Singh Thakur has been made the chairman of Manav Vikas Samiti. Along with him Vikram Singh, Vinod Kumar, Sanjay Awasthy, Balbir Singh Verma, Ranbir Singh Nikka, Kuldeep Rathore, Malender Rajan and Anuradha Rana have been appointed as members.

Similarly, former CPS and MLA Kishori Lal has been made the chairman of the Public Undertakings Committee. While Vipin Singh Parmar, Vikram Thakur, Sukh Ram Chaudhary, Inder Dutt Lakhanpal, Surender Shourie, Bhuvneshwar Gaur, Puran Chand Thakur, Harish Janartha, Suresh Kumar and Vivek Sharma have been appointed as members.
Mohan Lal Brakta has been made the chairman of the Welfare Committee. While along with him Vinod Kumar, Ram Kumar Chaudhary, Randhir Sharma, Reena Kashyap, Lokender Kumar, Deep Raj, Chander Shekhar, Sudarshan Singh Bablu, Vinod Sultanpuri and Anuradha Rana have been appointed as members.
Former CPS MLA Ram Kumar Chaudhary has been made the Chairman of the Gram Niyojan Samiti, while Sukh Ram Chaudhary, Inder Dutt Lakhanpal, Prakash Rana, Deep Raj, Neeraj Nayyar, Ashish Sharma, Kamlesh Thakur, Trilok Jamwal have been appointed as members.
While former CPS and Palampur MLA Ashish Butail has been appointed the Chairman of the Public Administration Committee. In this committee, MLA Mohan Lal Brakta, Vipin Singh Parmar, Sanjay Rattan, DS Thakur, Rakesh Jamwal, Lokender Kumar and Captain Ranjit Singh Rana have been appointed as members.
CM Sukhu has taken an important step towards strengthening the administrative role and responsibility of the MLAs through these appointments.
Let us tell you that the Sukhu government of the state had appointed 6 of its MLAs as CPS, but BJP and others had challenged their appointment in the High Court. The High Court, while giving its verdict, had declared these appointments unconstitutional and had ordered their immediate removal from the post.
Since then, speculations were being made that the government would entrust them with some big responsibility, due to which the government has today entrusted them with a new responsibility.
