CM Sukhu Inaugurates Fire Sub-Station in Nadaun, Ensures Swift Emergency Assistance for Locals
Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], January 11 (Diary Times): Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated a new fire sub-station in Nadaun, located in the Hamirpur district, today. The center is equipped with two fire vehicles, ensuring rapid response to fire-related incidents. This initiative is aimed at providing immediate assistance to the local community, enhancing safety measures, and enabling quicker control of fire emergencies in the region.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to enhancing fire services in Himachal Pradesh, announcing that the first installment of ₹19.40 crore will be released for their modernization. He emphasized that there will be no shortage of funds for this important initiative. Sukhu also highlighted the government’s focus on public welfare, mentioning the various programs designed to benefit the common people. He encouraged citizens to actively engage with these schemes to improve their financial well-being.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu conducted a review of the ongoing construction of a state-of-the-art multipurpose sports complex at Kharidi, Nadaun, which is being developed at a cost of ₹65 crore. He expressed his confidence that the facility will provide world-class infrastructure for sports enthusiasts and athletes. Sukhu instructed officials to accelerate the construction process and highlighted that the complex will feature top-notch amenities, including an 8-lane swimming pool, shooting range, as well as dedicated grounds for wrestling, boxing, kabaddi, yoga, table tennis, and badminton.
Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu emphasized that the state government is actively fostering sports activities to channel the energy of the youth in a positive direction. He stated that the newly planned sports complex will provide young athletes with an ideal environment to nurture their talents, while ensuring their physical and mental well-being. He further added that similar multipurpose sports complexes are being developed across Himachal Pradesh as part of a broader initiative to steer the youth away from drug abuse, infusing them with a renewed sense of purpose, vitality, and excitement for life.
Upon arriving in Nadaun, the Chief Minister was warmly welcomed by the local residents, who extended a grand reception in his honor. Various delegations took the opportunity to meet the Chief Minister and presented him with felicitations. The event saw the presence of prominent figures such as MLAs Sanjay Awasthy, Captain Ranjit Singh Rana, and Suresh Kumar, alongside Kuldeep Singh Pathania, Chairman of Kangra Cooperative Bank, Ram Chandra Pathania, Chairman of Kangra Cooperative Primary Agriculture and Rural Development Bank, and Congress leader Pushpinder Verma, among other distinguished guests.
