Shimla Man Accused of Securing TGT Job with Fake SC Certificate
Fraud Exposed After Over a Decade of Deception
In a shocking revelation, a man from the Nerwa tehsil of Shimla district has been accused of securing a Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) job by using a forged Scheduled Caste (SC) certificate. The accused, Roshan Lal, allegedly hails from the general category but submitted fake documents to claim a position reserved for the SC community.
The fraudulent activity, which dates back to 2009, came to light after a complaint was filed by the Scheduled Caste Unemployed Association. According to the association, Roshan Lal, a resident of Chilrana village in Nerwa, managed to secure the TGT (Arts) post by presenting the fake certificate and continued to work in the position for several years, all while maintaining the illusion of eligibility.

The matter was brought to the attention of the local authorities, leading the Nerwa police to register a case on Monday under several sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). These include Section 420 (cheating), Section 467 (forgery), Section 468 (forgery for the purpose of cheating), and Section 471 (using forged documents as genuine). A detailed investigation has been launched to unravel the full extent of the deception and to understand how the fraudulent documents were obtained and used.
