Shimla, December 26: Students from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hamirpur and Telangana had an enriching interaction with Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla at Raj Bhavan today, as part of the ‘Yuva Sangam Phase-5’ program. This initiative, organized under the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ scheme, aims to foster cultural exchange and unity among the youth of India. During the meeting, the students shared their experiences with the Governor, highlighting the importance of the program in connecting different regions of the country.

Governor Shukla remarked that such cultural programs play a crucial role in promoting India’s rich heritage and strengthening the bond of unity among young people. He emphasized that India’s identity as a global leader, or “Vishwa Guru,” has long been recognized, with foreign travelers coming to India in search of knowledge, particularly to study the Vedas. The Governor highlighted that through an understanding of ancient texts, one can gain deep insights into India’s rich tradition of knowledge.

He urged the students to take pride in their culture and embrace it fully. According to Governor Shukla, India today enjoys a distinct position in the world, and even developed nations respect India’s leadership. On the occasion, Vice Chancellor of Himachal Pradesh University, Prof. Satprakash Bansal, also shared his views on the state’s cultural heritage and encouraged students to take pride in it.
