Una, 23 December: A sensational incident of murder of father and son by firing bullets in the middle of the road has come to light in Bhadasali Gram Panchayat under subdivision Haroli of Una district of Himachal Pradesh. The deceased have been identified as 51-year-old Sanjeev Kumar son of Jagir Singh, husband of the Pradhan of Bhadasali Gram Panchayat and his 26-year-old son Ravindra Kumar.

Haroli police has taken the bodies of both father and son in its custody and sent them to the mortuary of the Regional Hospital for post-mortem. It is being told that due to land dispute, father and son were shot dead in the middle of the road due to which both were seriously injured. While after the incident, both were brought to Regional Hospital Una with the help of local people, but despite the long struggle of the doctors, the injured father and son could not be saved.

The pradhan of the Gram Panchayat who reached the hospital said that due to a land dispute, a person from her village along with some other people opened fire on her son and husband in the middle of the road. She said that the first bullet was fired at her son after which her husband reached the spot and the accused opened fire on him too. She said that the accused of the firing incident also pushed him at the spot.

On the other hand, Una District Police Administration SP Rakesh Singh says that Haroli Police has identified the accused of the firing incident and they will soon be caught and put behind bars. He said that the process of post-mortem has been started by taking the bodies of the deceased in possession. Statements of other villagers including the family members of the deceased will also be recorded regarding the matter.
