This acquisition is believed to have been made with a view to resolving a long-term captaincy issue for the Franchise, After acquiring the New Zealand Pacer Kyle Jamieson for a base price of 1 crore, In addition, the team invested in purchasing the reliable and experienced batsman Ajinkya Rahane for a base price of 50 lacks.
Schedule and matches
- Chennai will have to be up against the Previous year’s champions the GT (Gujarat Titians) in the opening match of IPL, on the 31st of March starting from 7:30 PM IST.
- The opening match is set to be played in Ahmedabad at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
- The team is set to play their last match at the ARUN JAITLEY STADIUM, Delhi, against the Delhi Capitals (DC).
