Supreme Court Grants Relief to Himachal Government on MLA Membership Cancellation and High Court Orders 9 Tourism Corporation Hotels to Remain Open Until March 31
Chief Minister’s Principal Media Advisor Naresh Chauhan clarified that the Supreme Court’s stay on the High Court’s decision has nullified any further appointments to the CPS, putting an end to BJP’s ongoing questions regarding the matter.
Shimla, November 22: The government has filed SLP in the Supreme Court on the decision of the High Court in the CPS case, on which the Himachal government has got some relief from the Supreme Court today. The Supreme Court has given relief on the cancellation of membership of the MLAs and has issued a notice to the petitioner asking him to respond within two weeks. The next hearing of the case will be on January 20.
Chief Minister’s Principal Media Advisor Naresh Chauhan said that the Supreme Court has stayed the decision of the High Court and said that CPS cannot be appointed again. With the end of the MLA post, all possibilities have also ended, BJP was raising questions about this.
BJP is leaderless, so it was giving importance to every matter. BJP should understand the values of democracy. BJP’s plans to topple the government are not succeeding. BJP should introspect on this decision, BJP is trying to make issues out of those which are not even there. At the same time, the government has also got some relief on the High Court’s decision to close the Tourism Corporation’s hotels.
The government has put forward its side strongly by filing a review petition, after which the High Court has ordered to keep 9 hotels open till March 31. Naresh Chauhan said that these hotels have not incurred losses only in the last 2 years. They were in losses due to the wrong policies of the previous BJP government. The Congress government will work to improve the condition of the hotels.
