Donald Trump and his running mate came on stage at midnight at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in Florida and were greeted with thunderous applause by the crowd present there. Moments after his victory speech on Tuesday, Trump praised his running mate JD Vance and his Indian-American wife Usha Chilukuri Vance.

Trump defeated Democratic rival Kamala Harris by a margin of 53 electoral votes. “I want to first congratulate – I can now say JD Vance, the vice president-elect. And his remarkable and beautiful wife Usha Vance,” Trump said, drawing loud applause from the audience.
