HPPSC extends last date to apply for police constable recruitment
The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has extended the last date to apply for police constable recruitment, giving eligible candidates more time to apply. The new last date is now November 12, 2024, extended from the original date of October 31.
To promote gender equality, 30 per cent of the available constable posts are reserved for women. Of the 1,088 posts, 380 are allotted for female candidates, while the remaining 708 are open for male applicants.
Additionally, the state government has introduced a one-year relaxation in the maximum age limit for applicants. Under the revised norms, general category candidates aged 18 to 26 years, SC/ST, OBC, Gorkha and eminent sportspersons aged 18 to 28 years, and home guards aged 20 to 29 years are eligible to apply.
