Dharamshala, October 30: The Municipal Corporation Dharamshala on Tuesday handed over the “First Model Vending Zone, Temple Road, McLeodganj” to the vendors in the McLeodganj area of Dharamshala. An allotment ceremony was organized in this regard in which Municipal Corporation Dharamshala Mayor Neenu Sharma, Deputy Mayor Tejinder Kaur, Councilors Joginder Jaggi, Omkar Nehria, Anurag, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Zafar Iqbal, Joint Commissioner Surender Katoch and all street vendors were present. This project was pending for a long time and the vendors were waiting for its completion.
Giving this information, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Zafar Iqbal said that 21 shops were constructed in this market built under Smart City Dharamshala and this market was handed over to the street vendors on the auspicious occasion of Diwali, due to which there is special enthusiasm among the street vendors. The establishment of the vending zone will provide a well-organized business place to the local vendors. This initiative will not only create new employment opportunities for the local citizens, but will also provide facilities to the tourists visiting Dharamshala.

Officials of Municipal Corporation Dharamshala said on the occasion of inauguration that vending shops will increase the income of local vendors and it will prove to be convenient for both traders and customers.
