The Triumph Scrambler 400 X is priced at ₹ 2.64 lakh (ex-showroom)
Triumph Motorcycles India has launched a new colour option for the Scrambler 400X called ‘Pearl Metallic White’. This is in addition to the three other colours already on sale, which are Phantom Black/Silver Ice, Carnival Red/Phantom Black and Matte Khaki Green/Fusion White. All the colour options will remain priced at ₹ 2.64 lakh (ex-showroom). The fuel tank is white in colour with a black stripe on it. Like the other colour options, the new model also gets rubber pads on both sides of the tank.
No mechanical changes have been made to the motorcycle. It is powered by a 398 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 39.5 bhp at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque output of 37.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and the motorcycle also gets a slip and assist clutch as standard.
The Triumph Scrambler 400X gets a hybrid spine perimeter frame with 43mm large piston USD forks with 150mm of travel. At the rear, there is a monoshock that is adjustable for preload and gets 150mm of travel. There is a single 320mm disc with a 4-piston radial caliper at the front and a 230mm disc with a single-piston caliper at the rear. The motorcycle also gets switchable ABS and traction control. The motorcycle has a seat height of 835 mm and a ground clearance of 195 mm.
Although the Scrambler 400X has no direct rivals, it competes with motorcycles like the Yezdi Scrambler, Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 and the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
