Former BJP candidate Rakesh Chaudhary died after swallowing poisonous substance. His wife has also been admitted to Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College and Hospital Tanda in critical condition, whose condition is now said to be stable.
Dharamshala, October 08: Former BJP candidate Rakesh Chaudhary died after swallowing poisonous substance. His wife has also been admitted to Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College and Hospital Tanda in critical condition, whose condition is now said to be stable.
According to sources, the reason for the incident is said to be a domestic dispute. On Monday morning, Rakesh Chaudhary and his wife consumed poisonous substance. When their health deteriorated, the family immediately rushed both of them to Tanda Hospital, where Rakesh Chaudhary died on Tuesday during treatment. His wife is now out of danger.
Let us tell you that Rakesh Chaudhary contested the assembly elections in 2022 on the BJP symbol. Apart from this, he also contested as an independent candidate in the 2019 and 2024 assembly by-elections. Additional Superintendent of Police Bir Bahadur has confirmed the incident. He said that preliminary investigation has found that both of them had consumed some poisonous drug. The police is investigating the matter thoroughly.
