Golden Jubilee Year of Himachal Road Transport Corporation: Inauguration of HRTC’s “Museum” and “Wall of Honour” in Shimla
The history of the buses added to HRTC’s fleet since 1974, the awards won over the years and the historical decisions have been preserved in the museum in a phased manner.
Shimla, 01 October: HRTC, which started its journey in Himachal Pradesh in 1974, has completed 50 years today. On completion of 50 years, HRTC will celebrate Golden Jubilee in Shimla on October 12 and will also organize many other programs. On this occasion, Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri inaugurated the Wall of Honor and Bus Museum in Shimla. This museum is a unique display of buses included in the fleet of HRTC.
On this occasion, Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri said that HRTC has worked with its commitment to take people from village to village to their destination for 50 years. He told that HRTC is continuously providing its services even on loss-making routes and is providing about 27 types of concessional services to its passengers.
Mukesh Agnihotri said that it is wrong to look at HRTC only from the perspective of loss. HRTC is working with a spirit of service, however, HRTC is taking many steps to overcome the losses.
On October 12, the Golden Jubilee celebration of HRTC will be celebrated in Shimla, in which special programs will be organized.
On this occasion, HRTC bus stations have been decorated and various activities will also be organized.
This 50th year celebration of HRTC is not only a celebration of its journey, but also highlights its contribution to the transport sector of Himachal Pradesh.
