Chamba: Chhatrari Jatra fair will get the status of state level fair

Chamba, September 16: Deputy Chief Whip in Himachal Pradesh Assembly Kewal Singh Pathania said that the district level Chhatrari Jatra fair will be given the status of state level fair. Kewal Singh Pathania said this last evening (Saturday) while participating as the chief guest in the cultural evening organized on the occasion of district level Jatra fair in the historical temple complex of Shiv-Shakti Maa at Chhatrari.

Member of the Board of Directors, State Cooperative Bank Committee Lalit Thakur and Member of the Board of Directors, State Road Transport Corporation Surjeet Bharmouri were specially present during this. Kewal Singh Pathania said that the matter will be placed before the Chief Minister to give the status of state level fair to the district level Chhatrari Jatra fair, which is a symbol of local excellent folk art and culture. Along with this, he also said that the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is taking necessary steps for the preservation and promotion of folk art and culture.

He also announced to give an amount of 51 thousand from his discretionary fund to the fair organizing committee. Earlier, Kewal Singh Pathania was warmly welcomed by the local people on his arrival at the cultural evening. A large number of local people participated in the cultural evening.
