Sundernagar, 09 September: Forest department and local people together have successfully rescued a giant Indian rock python in Suket forest division of Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. At the same time, the video of this rescue operation has also gone viral on social media. It can be clearly seen in the video that the departmental employees and local people have successfully caught the python after a lot of hard work. This incident has occurred in Baroti village of Gram Panchayat Baroti of Dehar sub-tehsil of the Mandi district.

Giving information, Rakesh Katoch, DFO of Suket Forest Division, said that with the help of local people, forest employees have successfully rescued a giant Indian rock python in Kangu range of Suket forest division of Sundernagar in Mandi district.

The length of this giant python is said to be around 11 to 12 feet. During the rescue operation, people of the area gathered at the spot and they looked very scared after seeing the python. The forest department team caught the python with utmost caution and left it at a safe place.
