HRTC bus accident averted in Himachal, end road of moving bus, major accident averted
Mandi, 06 September: A bus of Himachal Pradesh Transport Corporation (HRTC)’s Dharampur depot narrowly escaped a road accident. This bus was going from Dharampur to Madhi Balyana. During this time, the end road of the bus broke. Fortunately, the driver stopped the bus. This bus had left for its destination at 5:05 am like every day, as soon as it reached Laungani Kanchi turn at 5:26 am, the driver heard some sound, as soon as he stopped the vehicle and looked, the end road of the vehicle had broken and fallen on the road.
This accident happened on NH 03. If this road had broken on the connecting road, a major accident could have happened. Because there is a straight descent for one kilometer from there. It could have been difficult to stop the bus there. At the time of the accident, more than thirty passengers were traveling in the bus. Travelling in the buses of HRTC depot Dharmpur is risking life, because the buses stop working every day.
Among the passengers travelling in the bus, Sita, Kanta, Babli, Shivram, Bhawan Kumar said that the bus which is sent on this route breaks down every third or fourth day. People have to face difficulties. They requested the government and the transport corporation to replace the worn out buses of Dharmpur depot with new ones.
When the regional manager of Dharmpur depot Vinod Kumar was talked to in this regard, he said that a mechanic has been sent to the spot, only after the report will it be known how the end road opened. Another bus has been sent on the route.
