Himachal News: DM of Forest Corporation arrested red handed while taking bribe of 50 thousand
Vigilance has arrested Divisional Manager of State Forest Corporation Limited, Ashwani Kumar, red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 50,000.
Nahan, August 30: The team of State Vigilance and Anti Corruption Bureau has carried out a major action on Friday in Nahan, the district headquarters of Sirmaur.
Vigilance has arrested Divisional Manager of State Forest Corporation Limited, Ashwani Kumar, red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 50,000. The accused has been arrested and investigation has been started.
According to the information, accused Ashwani Kumar Verma had demanded 2% commission from the complainant in exchange for approving the pending bills of Rs 67 lakh.
When the complainant gave the first installment of Rs 50 thousand to the accused divisional manager as per his demand, the vigilance team caught him red handed.
Vigilance is investigating the matter. The movable and immovable property of the accused will also be investigated. Vigilance SP Anjum Ara has confirmed the case.
