Secretariat employees have announced to continue the protest by wearing black badges till the monsoon session of the assembly ends. At the same time, the state government has taken strict cognizance and handed over show cause notices to 10 employee leaders of the secretariat.
President of Secretariat Service Federation Sanjeev Sharma said that the government has given show cause notices to 10 employee leaders, on which the future strategy will be prepared. He said that in protest against non-payment of DA and arrears, work has been started by wearing black badges from Wednesday and this protest will continue till the assembly monsoon session till September 9 and if the government does not call for talks and does not accept their demands, then the future and concrete strategy will be prepared after that.
Let us tell you that on the occasion of Independence Day, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu did not make any announcement regarding payment of DA and revised arrears of Sixth Pay Commission, due to which the employees are angry with the government. In such a situation, the employees opened a front against the government under the banner of Himachal Pradesh Secretariat Service Federation and held a general house in the secretariat premises. During this, the employees had given a one-day ultimatum to the government for talks, but by not calling the employees for talks, the cabinet minister of Sukhu government issued a statement against the employees and added fuel to the fire, after which the employee leaders of Himachal Pradesh Secretariat Service Federation became more furious and vented their anger on the cabinet minister Rajesh Dharmani who was called again for the general house on 23 August.
