Negligence in the security of former CM Jairam Thakur, security personnel in dilapidated escort vehicle
A case of negligence in the security of former CM and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur has come to light.
Mandi, August 24: A case of negligence in the security of former CM and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur has come to light. As former CM and Leader of Opposition, the state government has provided Jairam Thakur with a dilapidated escort vehicle (HP63 D 0201). This vehicle has run more than three lakh kilometers.
Jairam Thakur has also written a letter to the state government in this regard, but despite this no action is being taken. Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur said that the Chief Minister himself should realize what kind of escort vehicle he has given as former CM and Leader of Opposition. This vehicle suddenly breaks down while moving on the roads. Expressing surprise, he said that the state government is not giving money for the maintenance of the escort vehicle, let alone replacing it. Jairam Thakur said that the Himachal government is taking loans, despite this no work is being done in the state as per the rules. This loan is being taken by the government only for its own fun.
Taking a dig at the government, Jairam Thakur said that an army of CPS and cabinet rank people has been set up in the state. Apart from this, there are many MLAs who have been provided with almost Z security. In such a situation, the state government is leaving no stone unturned in providing them comforts. Pilots are being run in front of CPS and cabinet rank people while escort vehicles are being run behind them. The limit has been crossed to the extent that facilities are being provided by hiring taxis and putting an additional financial burden on the government. The government needs to think about all these things.
What is an escort vehicle?
Security is provided to any former CM by the state government. These security personnel are always with the former CM and their vehicle always runs behind the former CM’s vehicle. The vehicle provided to them by the government is called an escort vehicle. It is the government’s responsibility to maintain this vehicle and it is replaced after a certain period but Jairam Thakur’s car is not being replaced even after running 3 lakh km.
