Accident
Jubbal, August 22: A tragic accident has come to light on Thursday evening at around 6:10 pm on Anti Bhalu Kyari Gheli Project road in Jubbal area. A Swift car (HP 10-9397) has been reported to have crashed here. The husband and wife travelling in the car have died in the accident, while the one and half year old girl is missing. The deceased have been identified as Sushil Kapreta (29) son of Sahbu Ram village and post office Jhalta tehsil Jubbal and wife Mamta (27). The bodies of both have been recovered from the spot.
At the time of the accident, Sushil and Mamta were travelling in the car with their one and half year old daughter. Meanwhile, the car fell into the Pabbar river and now due to darkness, rescue operations are facing difficulty. The girl has not been traced yet.
Local authorities and rescue teams continued to search throughout the night, but the search operation is being hampered due to darkness and the rising river. Police and emergency services are at the accident site and are making every possible effort to search for the girl.
