Ankara, Aug 20: The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) released its happiness ranking for Turkish cities, with Sinop in the Black Sea region topping the list with 77.66 per cent out of the country’s 81 major cities.

The list was released on Monday. According to TurkStat, Sinop is followed by Afyonkarahisar in the Aegean region in second place with a happiness rate of 76.43 per cent.

The Anatolia city of Bayburt is in third place with 75.91 per cent, while Kirikkale in Central Anatolia is in fourth place with a happiness rate of 75.48 per cent.

The city of Kutahya in the Aegean region has a happiness rate of 73.76 per cent, while Cankiri in Central Anatolia has a happiness rate of 73.5 per cent.

The Black Sea city of Duzce has a happiness rate of 72.77 percent, while UÅŸak in the Aegean region is second with 72.34 percent.

Sirt in southeastern Anatolia has a happiness rate of 71.65 percent, while Sirnak in the southeast also has 71.36 percent.

The central Black Sea region is the happiest in Turkey, according to the data, while the Aegean region also sees high levels of happiness.

Both central and southeastern Anatolia also see high levels of satisfaction.
