Solan: Candle march by Maharishi Markandeshwar Medical College and Hospital, Kumarhatti for justice in the rape and murder case of a trainee doctor in Kolkata

Kumarhatti, August 16: The anger of the people in Devbhoomi Himachal is not subsiding regarding the rape and murder case of a trainee doctor in RG Kar Medical College & Hospital, Kolkata. In protest against this brutal incident, a candle march and strong demonstration was done by Dr. Tripatjot Singh, Dr. Sukriti, Dr. Parag Sharma, Dr. Lokesh Atri, Dr. Rachit Singh, Dr. Lokesh and their team of Maharishi Markandeshwar Medical College & Hospital, Kumarhatti, Solan. The students of the college took out a candle march with slogans in their hands to protest against the incident.
During this, the doctors and their team demanded justice in the case and expressed their solidarity with the rape victim. Along with this, the doctors also demanded to take strict action against the criminals involved in this crime and to promote women safety in the society as well as the need for safety and security for doctors, especially women employees, in the hospital premises.
The protest was brought as a strong message to the government and society, so that every possible effort should be made to fight unitedly against this heinous crime and to get justice for the victims.
The doctors protesting say that “This incident in West Bengal is a very big incident in itself. This has raised a big question mark about the safety of doctors. While doctors are treating people by risking their lives, this incident has shaken the entire society.”
