Shimla, August 15: This time too, women in Himachal Pradesh will be able to travel free in Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) buses on Rakshabandhan and Bhaiya Dooj. Like the last several years, this time too, Himachal Road Transport Corporation has decided to provide free bus service facility to women in the corporation’s buses during these festivals.
A notification has been issued in this regard by the corporation’s Managing Director Rohan Chand Thakur. According to this, women will travel free in HRTC buses on August 19 on Rakshabandhan and on November 3 on Bhaiya Dooj. Women will get the facility of travel only from sunrise to sunset. The corporation management has issued instructions to all drivers and conductors regarding this.
He said that on the auspicious occasion of Rakshabandhan, sisters will be given free facility in HRTC’s general buses to tie Rakhi to their brothers. Similarly, the facility will be provided on Bhaiya Dooj day as well. This facility will be available to women from sunrise to sunset. Special care will be taken to ensure that women do not face any inconvenience.
Let us tell you that women can travel free of cost only in Himachal Path Parivahan buses in the state. This free bus facility will be available only in ordinary HRTC buses for women. On the occasion of Rakshabandhan and Bhaiya Dooj, free service is provided every year by the corporation to sisters to go to far off places to meet their brothers.
