HAS trainee officers meet Governor
Trainee officers of Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service met Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla at Raj Bhavan last Tuesday and shared their experiences with him.

Shimla, August 14: Trainee officers of Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service met Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla at Raj Bhavan last Tuesday and shared their experiences with him. Congratulating the trainee officers, the Governor stressed on giving priority to the preservation of Himachal’s Dev Sanskriti, efforts for de-addiction and works of social concern.
He said that Himachal Pradesh is known as a leading state in the country in the field of education. The increasing tendency of drug addiction among the youth is a matter of concern. He said that law enforcement agencies are working at their level, but this social evil can be eradicated with the cooperation of Panchayati Raj institutions. He stressed on the officers to take it seriously and educate and make people aware about it.
Shiv Pratap Shukla told the officers that they should always give special preference to the interests of the state and the people of the state, rising above personal interests. He said that both rights and duties complement each other. He interacted with the trainee officers and shared his views on various topics like environmental changes, illegal mining, legal amendments, skill development, cultural changes, etc. Secretary to Governor Rajesh Sharma was also present on the occasion.
