Himachal’s martyr Dilwar Khan buried with state honors, last farewell with teary eyes
28-year-old brave soldier Dilwar Khan, a resident of remote village Gharwasra of Una district, attained martyrdom while making the supreme sacrifice for the protection of the motherland.
Una, July 25: 28-year-old brave soldier Dilwar Khan, a resident of remote village Gharwasra of Una district, attained martyrdom while making the supreme sacrifice for the protection of the motherland. Dilbar Khan was martyred while fighting terrorists in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir. On Thursday afternoon around 3:00 pm, his body was brought to his ancestral village Gharwasra. Where military officials as well as politicians, police and administration officials of the area paid tribute to martyr Dilbar Khan and called his supreme sacrifice a debt on the country.
On this occasion, local MLA Vivek Sharma, BJP leader Davinder Kumar Bhutto, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mahendra Pal Gurjar from the district administration, Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Bhatia, along with many military officers and Dilbar Khan’s fellow soldiers also came to give him a final farewell. MLA Vivek Sharma, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mahendra Pal Gurjar, ASP Sanjeev Bhatia, SDM Sonu Goyal along with top officials of Indian Army, Police and Administration reached Gharwasra and paid tribute to the martyr by laying a wreath on his mortal remains.
The villagers joined the last journey of their brave son in large numbers and bid him farewell. There were tears in every eye, but the heart was full of pride. The army personnel saluted the martyr with state honors and gave him a guard of honor. During this, the martyr was buried after offering Namaz-e-Janaza. The entire atmosphere echoed with the sacrifice of martyr Dilwar Khan.
The martyr’s family includes his farmer father Karmadin, mother Bhola Bibi, wife Jamila Bibi, 3-year-old son Junaid, a brother and a sister. Born in 1996, Dilwar joined the army at the age of just 18. His dream was to serve the country and while fulfilling this dream, he sacrificed his life. On this occasion, Shahid’s elderly father Karmadin was seen grieving the loss of his son but was also feeling proud of Dilbar’s supreme sacrifice.
Dilbar Khan’s relatives not only termed the sacrifice of their family’s son as glorious but also demanded from the central government that this martyrdom should be avenged with the blood of terrorists. He said that terrorism should be completely crushed so that no one’s son gets martyred in his youth. He said in two words that blood should be avenged with blood only.
On the other hand, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mahendra Pal Gurjar, who attended Dilbar Khan’s funeral on behalf of the administration, said that this sacrifice of the martyr will never be forgotten. He said that the district administration always stands shoulder to shoulder with the family of martyr Dilbar Khan.
MLA Vivek Sharma, while paying tribute, said that the soldiers of Himachal Pradesh have always fought at the forefront to protect the country’s borders. He said that the country will always remember the supreme sacrifice of martyr Dilwar Khan. The state government will provide as much help as possible to the martyr’s family. This is not just a promise, it is our duty.
