Shimla News: A person was duped of Rs 3,04,322 in the name of SIM verification.
A man from Chaupal subdivision of Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla was duped of Rs 3 lakh by swindlers in the name of SIM verification.
Shimla, July 19: A man from Chaupal subdivision of Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla was duped of Rs 3 lakh by swindlers in the name of SIM verification. The victim has lodged a complaint with the Chaupal police station in-charge.
In a complaint given to the Chaupal police station in-charge, Shyam Lal, a resident of village Jhakhar, said that he received a call from an unknown number and he said that his SIM will be blocked for verification. After this, his SIM was blocked and he took a duplicate SIM.
The complainant said that after that he received a message that Rs 3,04,322 from his bank account has been transferred to the bank account of an unknown person. On the complaint, the Chaupal police station has registered a case under 318(4)BNS and started further action.
