Himachal Pradesh Elementary Education Department appointed 1029 TGTs in various schools, orders issued
The education department has strategically posted most of the new TGTs in schools located in remote areas, meeting the need for qualified teachers in these remote areas.
Shimla, July 17: Himachal Pradesh Elementary Education Department has appointed 1029 Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) in various schools of the state with immediate effect, which will bring good results in schools facing shortage of teachers and improve the quality education ranking of state.
The appointment orders were issued by the Director of Himachal Pradesh Elementary Education Department, in which the newly appointed 1029 Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) have been clearly instructed to take charge in their respective schools within the next 10 days after completing all the necessary formalities.

Apart from the appointments of 1029 TGTs, Himachal Pradesh Elementary Education Department has also released the schedule of the 15-day induction training program to be held at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET). This training is mandatory for all the newly appointed 1029 Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) before starting teaching work.
The details of the appointments of the newly appointed 1029 Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) are as follows:
TGT Arts: 416
TGT Non-Medical: 300
TGT Medical: 170
Sports Quota: 48
Wife of Ex-Serviceman Medical: 20
Wife of Ex-Serviceman Non-Medical: 19
Ex-Serviceman Quota: 56
After joining, the teachers have to report to their designated DIET centre as per the given schedule. Each centre will cater to teachers from 2 to 3 districts. The arrangement is aimed at ensuring that all the newly appointed teachers get the necessary training to perform their role effectively.
It is worth noting that the appointment process, including counselling sessions of TGTs, was conducted in November, and now the results have been finally declared.
