The new digital attendance system will be implemented only after updating the data of around 14 lakh students on the Unified District Information System for Education (U-DISE). The 14 lakh students include students from both government and private schools in the state. As per the latest update, the data of around 9 lakh students has been successfully updated in U-DISE, and the data of the remaining students will be completed in U-DISE by the month of July.

Director of Samagra Shiksha, Rajesh Sharma, during a very important meeting with the officials of the state education department on Monday, directed the officials to implement the new digital attendance system as soon as possible.

Rajesh Sharma also said in the meeting, “Implement the new digital attendance system as soon as possible in all the schools of entire Himachal Pradesh to find out the real-time attendance of teachers and students on the smart attendance app.

It is worth noting that Vidya Samiksha Kendra has taken the responsibility of Smart Attendance Mobile App. The dashboard prepared for both the state and district levels of the Smart Attendance App was also discussed.

Through the dashboard, the officials of the Education Department will be aware of all the information of the real time attendance process recorded through the Smart Attendance App.

The smart attendance app will also provide notifications on real-time attendance of students and teachers, teacher transfer and student migration in the integration of U-DISE and Management Information System (MIS). This integration will eliminate problems in U-DISE and MIS data. Teachers will get MIS data, which will enable them to easily match their school data on U-DISE.
