Himachal News: 45-year-old man dies after consuming poisonous pesticide under influence of alcohol
Solan police had received information that Bharat Lal, 45 years old son of Gulabu Ram, resident of village Oily Mashiwar, had consumed poison. Bharat Lal was taken to the Regional Hospital Solan, from where he was referred to IGMC, Shimla, but Bharat Lal died on the way.
Solan, July 7: A 45-year-old man died under mysterious circumstances in Solan city of Himachal Pradesh. Solan police had received information that Bharat Lal, 45 years old son of Gulabu Ram, resident of village Oily Mashiwar, had consumed poison. Bharat Lal was taken to the Regional Hospital Solan, from where he was referred to IGMC, Shimla, but Bharat Lal died on the way.
Initial investigation by Solan police has found that Bharat Lal consumed some poisonous pesticide under influence of alcohol, due to which he died.
Till now the family members of Bharat Lal have not expressed any doubt on his death, yet the investigation of the case is going on priority basis on every aspect.
After postmortem, the body of Bharat Lal has been handed over to the family for final cremation. Action is being taken in the entire case under Section 174 Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Solan District Superintendent of Police Administration Gaurav Singh said that during the inspection of the body of deceased Bharat Lal, no injury marks were found on his body. Post-mortem was conducted in the regional hospital.
The viscera of deceased Bharat Lal has been preserved, which is being sent to the State Forensic Science Laboratory, Junga for chemical testing.

Investigation by Solan police has also revealed that the deceased Bharat Lal was present in Solan. At around 1:00 pm, he called his brother-in-law Deep Ram and told him that he had taken the medicine and asked where he was. His brother-in-law told him that he was present in the regional hospital. After some time, Bharat Lal himself reached the regional hospital in Solan. He was feeling faint and had consumed alcohol at that time. At that time, he had lost his senses and was not in a position to give a statement.
