Bilaspur, 01 July: Driver Raj Kumar and conductor Balak Ram of HRTC Rishikesh-Bilaspur bus route have set an example of honesty. Both of them returned the lost amount of Rs 38,500 of a person, which was left in the HRTC bus.

Let us tell you that on 27th June, in an HRTC bus going from Bilaspur to Rishikesh, conductor Balak Ram saw that a bag was lying on seat number 4-5. Conductor Balak Ram asked all the passengers present in the HRTC bus about the bag, but no one said that the bag was theirs. Even after reaching Rishikesh, no one talked about adopting the bag.

HRTC Rishikesh-Bilaspur bus route conductor Balak Ram and driver Raj Kumar brought the bag back to Bilaspur and handed it over to station in-charge Rakesh Kumar. On checking the bag, vegetables, fruits, ATM card, passbook and a sum of Rs 38,500 were found in it. Based on the address mentioned in the passbook, the person who lost the money, Ranjeet Parnali Bandla, was traced and informed.

HRTC sub-divisional manager Vivek Lakhanpal returned the amount to Ranjeet. He praised the honesty and dedication of the bus driver and conductor and announced that these employees would be honored with a letter of appreciation from the management.
