IGMC Shimla’s Cardiology Department and Tribal Development Department organized a camp in Regional Hospital Keylong.
The Cardiology Department of Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla and the Tribal Development Department of the Himachal Pradesh Government have started a campaign to register patients suffering from high blood pressure, diabetes, heart attack, kidney failure, extreme stress and obesity in the tribal areas.
Keylong, June 29: The Cardiology Department of Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla and the Tribal Development Department of the Himachal Pradesh Government have started a campaign to register patients suffering from high blood pressure, diabetes, heart attack, kidney failure, extreme stress and obesity in the tribal areas. In this connection, a camp was organized on Saturday in Regional Hospital, Keylong, in which the doctors posted in Lahaul development block and the officials of the AYUSH department had an in-depth discussion on the causes of hypertension, blood pressure and creation of a data base for test and follow-up of patients.

PC Negi of Cardiology Department Shimla said that the process of registration of patients of heart attack, paralysis, kidney failure and high blood pressure, sugar and hypertension has been started since last 1 year, the purpose of which is to create a profile of such patients and review them. He has appealed to all people above 20 years of age in the Lahaul Spiti district to get medical checkup done once a year.
