Warning of heavy rain, thunderstorm and lightning issued in Solan district till July 03

Solan, June 29: Deputy Commissioner Solan Manmohan Sharma said that according to the weather forecast issued by the India Meteorological Center Shimla, a warning of heavy rain, thunderstorm and lightning has been issued at some places in Solan district till July 03, 2024.
He urged the general public to avoid going to rain and landslide prone areas and hilly areas during bad weather. An advisory has also been issued by the State Disaster Management Authority in this regard. According to this, trekking and going to high altitude areas during this period can be dangerous in bad weather, so avoid it. In case of lightning, stay inside homes or safe buildings for at least 30 minutes, do not go to the banks of rivers and streams, as there is a danger of sudden rise in water level during rains. Pay attention to the warning issued by the Meteorological Department and listen to the weather bulletin broadcast on radio and television and stay safe.
