The Election Commission has declared four Congress party candidates and two BJP candidates victorious in the by-elections held in six assembly constituencies of Himachal Pradesh.

In the final results of the by-elections held in six assembly constituencies of Himachal Pradesh, the Sukhu government of the ruling Congress party has once again succeeded in defeating the opposition BJP.

The most thought-provoking thing is that out of the six former MLAs who betrayed the Congress party and joined the BJP, four former MLAs have been directly rejected by the hill voters in the by-elections.

Voters have expressed their trust in the Congress party candidates in the Lahaul Spiti, Sujanpur, Kutlehar and Gagret assembly by-election seats of Himachal Pradesh, while on the other hand, voters have expressed their trust in the BJP candidates in the Dharamshala and Barsar assembly by-election seats of Himachal Pradesh.

Congress party candidate Captain Ranjit Singh Rana defeated BJP candidate Rajinder Rana by 2440 votes from Sujanpur assembly by-election seat.

Congress party candidate Captain Ranjit Rana got 29529 votes from Sujanpur assembly by-election seat, while BJP candidate Rajinder Rana got 27089 votes.The other four candidates contesting the Sujanpur assembly by-election seat have faced defeat.

Congress candidate Anuradha Rana has proved the decision of Congress party high command right by winning the Lahaul-Spiti assembly by-election seat.Congress candidate Anuradha Rana defeated independent candidate Ram Lal Markanda, who came second, by 1960 votes from Lahaul-Spiti assembly by-election seat.After the results of Lahaul-Spiti assembly by-election seat, BJP candidate Ravi Thakur remained at third place.

Congress candidate Anuradha Rana got 9414 votes in the Lahaul-Spiti assembly by-election seat, while independent candidate Ram Lal Markanda came second with 7454 votes and BJP candidate Ravi Thakur came third with 3049 votes.

Congress candidate Rakesh Kalia defeated BJP candidate Chaitanya Sharma by 8487 votes in Gagret assembly by-election seat.

Congress candidate Rakesh Kalia got 35768 votes in Gagret assembly by-election seat and BJP candidate Chaitanya Sharma got 27281 votes with second place.

Candidates at third, fourth and fifth positions could not open their account in Gagret assembly by-election seat.

In the Barsar assembly by-election seat of Hamirpur district, the home of Himachal Pradesh’s Honorable Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, BJP candidate Inderdutt Lakhanpal defeated Congress candidate Subhash by 2125 votes.

BJP candidate Inderdutt Lakhanpal got 33086 votes in Barsar assembly by-election seat whereas Congress candidate Subhash who came second got 30962 votes.An independent candidate could not open his account in Barsar assembly by-election seat.

BJP candidate Sudhir Sharma won by 5526 votes in Dharamshala assembly by-election seat. BJP candidate Sudhir Sharma got 28066 votes whereas Congress candidate Devendra Jaggi got 22540 votes and independent candidate Rakesh Chaudhary who spoilt the whole game got 10770 votes.Another independent candidate could not open his account in the Dharamshala assembly by-election seat.

Congress candidate Vivek Sharma defeated BJP candidate Davinder Bhutto by more than 5 thousand votes in the Kutlehar assembly by-election seat.
