Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, May 30A female teacher died in a tragic accident that took place under Deha police station of Theog subdivision of Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh.The Deha police station in-charge said that the female teacher who died was driving the car herself.

He said that the deceased female teacher was posted in a school in Deha area and was returning home from school after finishing her duty when suddenly in the evening the car went out of control and fell into the river.

The female teacher was seriously injured and was referred to IGMC Shimla but the female teacher died on the way before reaching IGMC Shimla.

The deceased female teacher has been identified by the Deha police station in-charge as Pragya Sharma, age 48 years, wife of Devki Nandan.

The deceased female teacher was a native of Motiban of Theog.

Deha police station in-charge said that the deceased female teacher Pragya Sharma was driving her Alto car number (HP13-2204) alone from Neripul to Naina.

At the time of the accident, the tipper driver passing through the same route told the Deha police station in-charge that the deceased female teacher Pragya Sharma was driving the Alto car at a very high speed, due to which the female teacher’s car went straight to the turn and fell into the Giri river.

On receiving the information about the accident, the Deha police station team picked up the seriously injured woman in a critical condition from the bank of Giri river and was taking her to IGMC Shimla, but the woman died on the way.

DSP Theog Siddharth Sharma said that the post-mortem of the deceased female teacher is being completed. Along with this, the investigation has been started by the Deha police station team after registering the case.
