Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Solan, May 12:Deputy Commissioner of Solan district of Himachal Pradesh, Manmohan Sharma has said that the manual scavenger survey in the entire Solan district has been completed on time.DC Solan said that according to the survey, no toilet has been found contaminated in Solan district and the number of manual scavengers has also been found to be zero.

The DC said that in compliance with the notification of the Supreme Court of India and as per Section 11 of the Prohibition of Employment as Manual Scavengers and Rehabilitation Act, 2013, To find out the number of manual scavengers in Solan district, a complete survey will be conducted from March 15 to April 14, 2024 in all Panchayats, Municipal Corporation Solan, Municipal Council Parwanoo, Nalagarh, Baddi and Nagar Panchayats Arki and Kandaghat and Cantt Board Kasauli, Subathu and Dagshai.Â
After completion of the survey, not a single toilet has been found contaminated in Solan district and the number of manual scavengers is zero.
