Himachal: Big problems for independent MLAs, will have to answer on May 4

Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, April 26: In Himachal Pradesh, the entire matter of accepting the resignations of independent MLAs Hoshiar Singh, KL Thakur and Ashish Sharma has come into the favor of Himachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania.
Also, regarding non-acceptance of the demand of disqualification by accepting the resignations of independent MLAs Hoshyar Singh, KL Thakur and Ashish Sharma as per anti-defection law, Senior Congress Party leader and Cabinet Minister in Himachal Government, Jagat Singh Negi has filed a petition in the Assembly Secretariat.
Regarding Jagat Singh Negi’s petition, the Assembly Secretariat has issued a notice to independent MLAs Hoshyar Singh, KL Thakur and Ashish Sharma and have to reply by May 4. The case is also scheduled to be heard by Himachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania on May 4.
Let us tell you that Himachal Government Cabinet Minister Jagat Singh Negi has filed a petition to Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania asking him to take action under the anti-defection law.
According to the petition of Jagat Singh Negi, the independent MLA has joined BJP before the resignation is accepted, hence he is demanding his resignation.
